Drake 1

 

The Lepers slumped to their third successive defeat in Divison 1 leaving the players asking some serious questions, like:

 

- why had Sheen booked a holiday from a Thursday morning until a Thursday evening?

- who was the new peader in goal?

 

With Ames, Harvey & Sheen all absent the Lepers were down to 4. Fortunately the one and only Chesney matt was available and Drake had managed to entice an egg-chaser to give 'Kev Ball' a try. With Avram Jerzak's confidence at an all time low, Drake took further charge of proceedings delivering the pre-match team talk. "We are going to struggle today so let's go old-school aggressive".

 

The game started well with Drake bagging an early goal. And the tactics seemed to be working too with Soccer unable to get into the game.

 

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssshed. Bov. We lost 5-3 and have been drinking ever since.
